Rick Wilkinson,
President - Founder
Meet Rick, a seasoned veteran in both the Real Estate and Financial sectors. With a track record of success dating back to 2002 when he founded US Title Corp, Rick has been licensed in an impressive 26 states and boasts over 10,000 transactions under his belt.
In 2012, Rick expanded his entrepreneurial endeavors by launching Mortgage Direct (formerly known as iLend), adding another layer to his already thriving portfolio. But Rick isn't just about mortgages; he's also deeply involved in the local Knoxville community as a Builder/Developer, crafting custom homes and vibrant subdivisions that enhance the fabric of the city.
Over the past decade, Rick and his dedicated team have constructed more than 60 homes, and they're not slowing down anytime soon. After all, why tamper with success?

Allow us to introduce Gentry, a true professional whose array of talents encompasses sales, leadership, mindset cultivation, marketing, branding, and streamlined systems development. We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome him to our team.
With a background as diverse as it is impressive, Gentry's journey spans ministry, marketing, graphic design, construction, and beyond. For nearly two decades, he honed his craft in remodeling and construction, even co-running a thriving kitchen and bathroom remodeling company in Texas. However, a pivotal car accident, coinciding with the anticipation of his first child with wife Ashley, prompted a significant shift in his life's trajectory.
In 2016, Gentry found himself navigating new terrain in the mortgage industry, initially as a processor. When his father-in-law, a seasoned veteran of 25 years in the mortgage business, retired in 2017, Gentry seamlessly transitioned into originating mortgages. Leveraging his rich background in sales and customer service, Gentry achieved a remarkable 59% year-over-year increase in production for several years.
Gentry's commitment to excellence knows no bounds. As a Senior Loan Officer, he continues to originate loans while spearheading initiatives to develop and implement cohesive, enjoyable, and efficient systems and processes. His goal? To position Mortgage Direct as a pinnacle of industry innovation and service.

As a company in the modern mortgage space, we understand how valuable time is so our simple, intuitive, loan application will provide all of the answers that we need to expedite the process with a few clicks :-)
A prequalification, is NOT the same as a pre-approval. The main difference is the information is documented vs. stated. We ONLY provide documented pre-approvals. This is more than a transaction, this is your future, we don't want to let anything slip through the cracks.
We believe that we no one can 'win' without working together. We work directly with you and/or your real estate agent to ensure that you are able to qualify for the terms you are offering and all parties are confident in the offer as well.
As a broker, we work as a liaison between you and the underwriter. We submit the information required for the loan we desire, at the desired terms. The underwriter, who has the authority to grant us the loan, will review and accept, or request additional information/documentation commonly known as 'conditions.'
A processor will be assigned to the file that will request information from you, or on you behalf. These items can include, but are not limited to: Title work, Appraisal, Insurance, brief explanation regarding an out of state ID etc. Once the required information is gathered, they will submit back to underwriter for final review and then off to CLOSING!
